Accelerating digital transformation for Motorsport UK
From Formula 1 and WRC to grassroots racing and local clubs, appetite for the sport keeps on growing. More fans. More participants. More eyes on the sport than ever before.
This represents a big opportunity for Motorsport UK - the governing body for four-wheeled motorsport in the UK - to achieve its goal of getting more people enjoying motorsport, more often. Whether that means volunteering, joining a club, getting behind the wheel, or even cheering trackside.
Motorsport UK’s Vision 2030 sets out a clear goal: close the gap between passion and participation.
The sport has never had more attention, but many fans still don’t know how to get involved. And with audiences spread across social, broadcast, events, clubs and short-form content, the challenge is building more direct, commercially valuable relationships that guide people towards action.
A full website rebuild is part of Motorsport UK’s longer-term plans. But momentum wasn’t going to politely wait for that. So our brief was to tune up the platform they already had: simplify the experience, reduce friction and create stronger digital foundations to help more people discover, join and enjoy the sport.
We gave Motorsport UK’s existing website a rapid refresh, bringing the homepage and key user journeys closer to the organisation’s Vision 2030 brand and direction.
We also created a dedicated Vision 2030 hub, giving Motorsport UK a digital home for its future ambitions, and giving fans, members, volunteers and participants something to get behind.
Under the bonnet, we moved the platform onto more stable infrastructure, improving performance and creating a stronger technical base for future development.
And because digital transformation doesn’t stop at a website refresh, we supported Motorsport UK with wider creative activity, including video content to celebrate key milestones and showcase its role in shaping the future of British motorsport.
It’s an exciting time as we work to ensure our platforms reflect who we are, what we stand for and where the sport is heading. Working with Engage allows us to create a more engaging, accessible and member-focused experience that celebrates our heritage while opening the door to new participants, volunteers and fans.

Digital transformation doesn’t have to wait for perfect conditions. Sometimes the smartest move is improving what’s already on the track before going full throttle.
This project gave Motorsport UK immediate improvements to performance and user experience - with a 61% improvement in desktop index speed - while also laying the groundwork for its wider Vision 2030 ambitions.
The best part? The next phase is already on the grid, with more work planned to make Motorsport UK’s digital experience more useful, intuitive and connected.
