Engage wins two Agency of the Year titles at the UK Agency Awards

When Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) asked us to help bring a Taskmaster live-streamed fundraiser to life, there was only ever going to be one answer.
Taskmaster is a firm favourite across the Engage team. So when the chance came to support GOSH Charity pro bono on an exclusive livestreamed fundraising event, featuring a cast of well-known creators, and all raising money towards its new Children’s Cancer Centre, we were very happy to get stuck in.
Our task? To create a digital home for the live fundraiser - somewhere people could watch, get involved and, most importantly, donate.
GOSH Charity had run a livestream fundraiser the year before using Tiltify as both its fundraising platform and campaign page.
It did the job. But its limited design and content options made it difficult to create the engaging, flexible experience GOSH Charity wanted.
For its Taskmaster partnership, they needed a central hub that could bring together the livestream, fundraising progress, campaign content and donations, while feeling every bit as distinctive as the two brands behind it.
We built a bespoke one-page microsite in Craft CMS, bringing the whole campaign into one central hub.
Here, visitors could watch the livestream, see the fundraising total climb, meet the creator line-up, learn more about the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH, buy bespoke merchandise, and understand exactly how their donation could help support seriously ill children. We also built in campaign information, FAQs and regular prompts to donate and share, making it easy for people to stay involved from start to finish.
Rather than sending audiences bouncing between different platforms, GOSH Charity now had one clear destination it could point people towards before and during the event.
Building the site in Craft also gave the GOSH Charity team control over the content throughout the campaign and while the event was live.
That meant they could keep the microsite up to date as things happened, from changing campaign content to adding sponsor logos when new donations landed.
With GOSH Charity on one side and Taskmaster on the other, subtle branding was never really on the cards.
We brought the two worlds together through bold colour, playful graphic elements and bespoke illustration, alongside Taskmaster-inspired details like the wax seal and framed contestant portraits.
That visual language carried right through the experience, from the countdown and fundraising total to the donation journey and campaign content, giving both brands equal billing while still making the site feel like one cohesive thing. The result was colourful, characterful and deliberately a little chaotic.
The fundraiser set out with an initial target of £100k. It went on to raise over £278k (and counting) for GOSH Charity, while the livestream generated over half a million views across YouTube and Twitch.
Most importantly, the campaign helped raise a significant sum for GOSH Charity’s appeal to help build a world-leading new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH that will support seriously ill children and families for years to come, helping give them the best chance, and best childhood possible.
For a team that loves Taskmaster, this was a brilliant project to work on: a fantastic cause, a fun brief and one task we were very happy to complete. 5 points to us!
