Hours and location

This is a full-time role based in Leeds, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexible hours to everyone in the team, but this is not a fully remote opportunity, and we require you to be in the office at least 3 days a week.

What we're looking for

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team. Your role will be to own client relationships, ensuring the successful delivery and performance of Paid Media, SEO, Social and CRM campaigns across your assigned accounts.

You'll act as the performance lead for the client, working closely with relevant teams to drive measurable growth against agreed KPIs. While you won’t be hands-on in executing channel activity, you will have strong working knowledge across performance marketing disciplines, enabling you to maintain visibility of performance trends and support channel teams in delivering against agreed objectives.

Your role is to ensure clients receive clear performance leadership, commercial value, and a joined up performance marketing approach aligned to their business activity.

Duties and responsibilities 

Client Relationship

  • Act as a trusted performance partner to your clients, owning the overall success of
    their performance activity.
  • Translate client business goals into clear performance objectives and KPIs across
    channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, with support from
    senior sponsors when required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and ROI across
    accounts.
  • Own and evolve account plans, ensuring growth opportunities are aligned to both
    client goals and agency targets.

Communication

  • Own client meetings, ensuring agendas, slides and inputs from channels teams are
    clear, timely and focussed.
  • Lead regular status, monthly and quarterly review meetings using agreed
    templates, shaping and controlling the narrative.
  • Create briefs for performance teams, ensuring these are clear and concise with
    required outputs expected.
  • Maintain clear communication across Productive, Slack, email and other channels
    that a client might favour.
  • Keep internal teams fully informed of client priorities, feedback and performance
    expectations.
  • Ensure senior sponsors are involved for strategic or review sessions, internally or with
    the client.

Strategic and commercial thinking

  • Own revenue targets and account growth plans, supported by Account Directors, or
    Heads of performance departments.
  • Plan and manage client investment across Paid, SEO, and Social, balancing
    performance impact and commercial outcomes.
  • Identify and present upsell and cross-sell opportunities backed by performance
    insights.
  • Ensure performance recommendations are commercially viable and aligned to your
    clients objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of how performance marketing activity
    contributes to wider business outcomes.

Reporting and insight

  • Ensure reporting is clear, accurate and insight led, focussing on performance
    against agreed KPIs.
  • Challenge performance teams on reporting quality and narrative where necessary.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insight for clients.
  • Get clients to understand not just what is happening, but why and what happens
    next.

Operational and delivery

  • Oversee campaign and project delivery across Paid, SEO, and Social, ensuring
    timelines, scope and budgets are met.
  • Maintain accurate financial forecasts and present them to the Head of Client
    services and Directors when necessary.
  • Oversee invoicing inline with agreed deliverables and milestones.
  • Prepare estimates for new projects and performance initiatives.
  • Ensure time is logged accurately and inline with company policy.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all client deliverables.

Competencies

Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Paid channels, SEO and Social, with the ability to
    • Understand platform performance and metrics
    • Review account at a high level
    • Challenge strategy, execution and results constructively. 
  • Comfortable discussing attribution, tracking, and reporting. 
  • Familiar with GA4, ad platforms, analytics and performance tooling. 

Commerciality

  • Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on retention, growth and profitability. 
  • Clear understanding of how performance impacts revenue and client decision making.
  • Able to balance performance ambition with budget and resourcing realities. 

Technical confidence

  • Confident discussing performance marketing technologies, platforms and data flows.
  • Able to relay technical or performance concepts clearly between clients and internal teams. 
  • Comfortable working with CMS platforms, analytics tools, ad platforms and reporting dashboards. 

Prioritisation & Planning

It will be essential for you to prioritise your own workload and to manage client and team expectations. You’ll maintain a detailed view of the projects and campaigns going through on your accounts, which will enable you to spot risks, issues and opportunities and plan mitigating actions, as well as keeping the wider team up to date with progress.
