This is a full-time role based in Leeds, UK. We offer hybrid working and flexible hours to everyone in the team, but this is not a fully remote opportunity, and we require you to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
As part of our commitment to making Engage a great place to work, we’ve built a comprehensive benefits package that fuels our thriving culture and delivers an exceptional, well-rounded employee experience. Some of our most popular perks are:
As a Middleweight UX/UI Designer at Engage, you will create high-quality, user-centred digital experiences across our Web and Activation propositions.
Reporting to our Senior UX/UI Designer, You will combine strong UX thinking with polished UI design, translating user needs, business objectives, research and technical requirements into clear journeys, intuitive structures and engaging digital interfaces.
The role will primarily support Web projects and retainers, with additional involvement in interactive and campaign-led Activation work. You will take ownership of agreed UX/UI work from early discovery and definition through to wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, developer handover and quality assurance.
We're looking for someone who can strengthen the team’s research-led UX capability, particularly across customer journeys, information architecture, navigation and content structure. You should also be confident producing high-quality responsive UI and developing scalable design systems, components and reusable patterns.
You will work closely with designers, developers, project managers, account teams and clients. You will be expected to manage your own delivery, explain the rationale behind your decisions and identify risks or opportunities early.
This role will help provide greater specialist ownership across Web and Activation, improve the consistency and resilience of our UX/UI delivery, and reduce reliance on senior team members for day-to-day production, intervention and quality assurance.
It is important that we have measures of success for every role in the agency. This means that we can objectively assess your performance. It also helps you to know when you are doing a good job.
Performance will be measured against the following criteria:
